SERVPRO of Limestone and Lawrence Counties participated in the Limestone County Home and Garden show last month. The rain did not keep people from coming out and enjoying this great event.

We had such a great time participating in the Hospice of Limestone County Chili Challenge again this year. It was great to help raise money for such a great cause. We went with a very "basic" Chili this year and it was a huge hit!!!

SERVPRO of Limestone and Lawrence Counties Chili Challenge for Hospice
SERVPRO of Limestone and Lawrence Counties participated in the 30th annual Hospice Chili Challenge on 2/18/17. This year we made Creole Chili and decorated with a Mardi Gras theme. We had a great time and were happy to help raise funds for such a worthy cause.
Creole Chili Recipe
1 lb ground beef
12 oz andouille sausage
1 green pepper
1 onion
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 can Rotel
1 can black beans
1 envelope creole spice mix
Brown ground beef, sausage, pepper and onion.
Mix all ingredients in crock pot and simmer for 8 hours on low.

Athens Limestone Chili Challenge
We were proud to support our community by participating in the 2016 Hospice Chili Challenge held at Athens High School. We decided to go with a Hawaiian themed chili and it was a huge success! We had many people compliment and vote for our chili. We look forward to next years challenge!
Aloha Chili Recipe
2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 20 oz can pineapple chunks
1 16 oz can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 15 3/4 ounce can pork and beans
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white vinegar
In a Dutch oven, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Drain.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until heated through. Yield: 8 servings.

SERVPRO of Limestone and Lawrence Counties was glad to be apart of the 2016 Home and Garden show held in Athens at the Limestone County Event Center. The event was on March 11 & 12 and we had a great time.

Our team after the race!
SERVPRO of Limestone and Lawrence had a blast this weekend at the 2nd Annual Apple Annie 5k. Our company was voted the Top Company and we had the most participants. Our tent was setup for the kids to enjoy face painting, balloon animals, SERVPRO balloons, cornhole boards as well as two bounce houses. We even had a hot air balloon! Jordan and John won first and second place in their respective age divisions also! Amanda's son, Garrett Hamlin won 3rd place in the 1 mile fun run!

SERVPRO of Limestone and Lawrence is a proud sponsor of the Apple Annie Charity 5K which will be held October 31, 2015.
The Apple Annie 5K is a charity race benefiting the Joy House and the Children's Advocacy Center of Athens/Limestone County. The race will be held at the Athens Swan Creek Park (directly beside Athens High School). After the 5K we will have a 1 Mile Fun Run for kids of all ages! We will have a Family Fun Zone with games, face painting, food, music, and a hot air balloon! Awards will be given for the race and for the most spirited Apple Annie runner! Please come out and join us to run, walk, or play!
